Connect to your Minecraft server with FileZilla and SFTP
Use SFTP to upload worlds, mods and configuration files. Copy the host, port and username from your own game panel; the Minecraft game address is not your SFTP login.
Where do I find my SFTP details?
Open My services in your punshik account, choose your Minecraft service and open the game panel. Open the server settings and find SFTP details. Copy the server address, port and username exactly as displayed. Each server has its own username; do not use your billing email as a substitute.
What should I enter in FileZilla?
In FileZilla, open File > Site Manager > New site. Select SFTP - SSH File Transfer Protocol. Enter the host and port from the game panel, choose Normal login and enter the displayed SFTP username. Use your game-panel password, which may differ from your billing password. If you use automatic panel sign-in and have never set a panel password, set or reset it in the game panel first.
What if authentication fails?
Check the SFTP protocol, host, port, username and game-panel password. Do not select FTP or FTPS. A billing login is not necessarily a game-panel password. If access still fails, send support the error message and your service number, without including passwords.
How do I upload a world or mods safely?
Stop the Minecraft server and make a backup before replacing files. Keep the old world separately. Match the server software, Minecraft version and required mods, upload to the server files shown in SFTP, then start the server and review the console. Keep secrets and unrelated personal files out of the upload.
Are uploaded files stored on the VPS?
The public gateway forwards the SFTP connection to the game node. The game node stores your server files; the gateway is not an intermediate upload folder. Transfer speed depends on the complete connection path and your plan resources.
